Shailene Woodley is an acclaimed American actor and activist. As a character in The Descendants, she played Alexandra King, an addicted teenager. Her praiseworthy performance as Alexandra "Alex" King in The Descendants led to her performing several other challenging roles with ease. Shailene went on to secure a place of prominence in the film industry early in her career which is a feat in and of itself. Her career began by appearing in television shows and commercials and later, she was able to play prominent roles in Hollywood movies. She's won numerous acting prizes for her skills, such as the MTV Movie Awards and People's Choice Awards. Also, Woodley has been recognized in different categories, like BAFTA Awards.
