Awkwafina An American performer and actress, started by releasing a humorous rap track dealing with issues related to sexual and race. Her fame grew into Hollywood when she dropped several rap songs. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her first musical encounter. She was a trumpet player. Apart from classical music and jazz, Nora Lum began studying hip-hop in her teens. While in college, she took classes in journalism and women's studies. She even spent an hour studying Mandarin in Beijing. The focus on music until after she finished her studies. In 2012, My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an online hit, and it was featured on her debut album Yellow Ranger. As a musician and an author on her resume she determined to pursue acting in a third project. Alongside early TV shows, such Girl Code and Tawk - she was in films Neighbors 2 Storks & Bad Rap. The actress made headlines in the year 2018, with several notable films like Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June she released In Fina We Trust.
